Festac Music Festival powered by Naija Ninja Production Set to Hold this December in Amuwo-Odofin LGA


The Festac Music Festival, a registered franchise of Naija Ninja Production which started in 2017 to celebrate young talent and foster relationships and unity in the community is back and bigger this time. 





In the early 2000s, the Nigerian hip-hop music scene was dominated by music artistes from Festac-Town, a semi-middle class community in Amuwo-Odofin LGA.


It is no mere happenstance that Festac Town stands as one of the pioneering Nigerian communities to wholeheartedly embrace the musical genre. 


Baba Dee, Sound Sultan, Azadus, Jaywon, the defunct music group – Plantashun Boiz, which comprised of 2Baba, Faze and Blackface and also The advent of legendary groups such as Ruff Rugged and RAW, Def O Clan, Nitro and a myriad of others are some of the most prominent artistes who rose from Festac and firmly cemented Festac's pivotal role in the cultural evolution of Nigerian music.





Festac Town, a Federal housing estate situated along the Lagos-Badagry Expressway, has evolved into a vibrant community, acting as a veritable talent repository for actors, musicians, dancers, and numerous media luminaries.


The Festac Music Festival is an annual communal event and this years edition has been officially extended into a four-day event which begins on the 28th of December to the 31st of December 2023. 


It’s 4days of Non-stop Afrobeat music as Naija Ninja presents the 5th edition of the FESTAC MUSIC FESTIVAL.


It’s gonna be a non-stop rave, games, food and drinks at the festival village from the 28th of December to the 31st of December 2023.


On the 28th of December the DJ RAVE/SOUND CLASH begins featuring the DJ AND HYPEMAN Competition.





On the 29th of December the FESTAC MUSIC NEXT RATED SHOW featuring TALENT HUNT and RAP BATTLE competition begins. 





The Festival Director, singer, filmmaker and chief executive of Naija Ninja production, Dare Fasasi, popularly known as Baba Dee, the elder brother of late Sound Sultan believes that the event being held in Festac annually is helping to discover talents, and promoting social conscious music.


On the 30th of December, the grand musical concert will hold at the Festac Music Festival Village.





The Festival Director has tapped some of the biggest stars in the entertainment industry to perform.


Vector ‘tHa” Viper, Spyro, Flekta Man will lead an all-star lineup that includes Baba Dee, Faze, Jaywon, among many others, performing at the fifth edition of Festac Music Festival.


On the 31st of December, the grand COMEDY SHOW will take place at the Festival Village and feature Comedians like Josh 2 Funny, Omo Baba, I GO SAVE and many more.





The popular FHA field at 23rd Festac town will host the event.
